Role overview

Public Relations Officer responsible for government documentation, immigration processing, labor compliance, and regulatory approvals in the UAE.

The role serves as the primary link between the company, employees, and government authorities.

Government relations and documentation

  • Process employment, renewal, cancellation, and dependent visas in compliance with UAE labor laws.
  • Handle labor contracts, work permits, Emirates ID applications, medicals, and residency formalities.
  • Manage company license renewals, modifications, government approvals, NOCs, permits, and certificates.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and communicate their impact on the business.

Compliance and reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of employee visas, permits, and company trade licenses.
  • Ensure compliance with immigration and labor laws to avoid penalties and fines.
  • Coordinate government documentation with People, Finance, and Operations teams.

Relationship management

  • Build relationships with MOHRE, Immigration, Municipality, Chamber of Commerce, and other government departments.
  • Represent the company at government offices and resolve issues promptly.
  • Assist employees with visa renewals, dependent sponsorship, fines, and other official processes.

Support and advisory

  • Advise management and employees on government rules, requirements, and best practices.
  • Support employee documentation and projects involving new branches, trade licenses, and regulatory approvals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience is preferred.
  • Proven experience handling visa, labor, and legal matters.
  • Valid UAE driving license is mandatory.
  • Three to five years of experience as a PRO in the UAE.
  • Experience working in a multicultural environment.
  • Strong knowledge of UAE or KSA labor laws, immigration rules, and government procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic.
  • Discretion, integrity, attention to detail, relationship-building, organization, problem-solving, and computer skills.
