Public Relations Consultant

Serves as media relations contact and corporate reputation steward for IU Health.

Ensures team delivery of high-quality news coverage locally, statewide, and nationally.

Provides strategic guidance on media strategy and personally achieves breakthrough coverage.

Builds and maintains strong relationships with journalists, editors, producers and community influencers to secure accurate, positive and meaningful coverage. Prepares leaders, physicians and subject matter experts for media interviews, speaking opportunities and community engagements.

Provides subject matter expertise and serves as point for issues that could negatively impact the reputation of the organization.

Analyzes media coverage and makes strategic recommendations for on-going improvement.

Leads timely reporting functions, working closely with the Executive Director of External Communications.

Identifies value-added opportunities by utilizing current events, news, social media, and trends to advise leadership.
