About the Role
IOM seeks a Protection Associate Consultant to support protection programmatic response in Camp As Saliyah, Qatar. The role involves conducting assessments, case management, and operational closure activities.

Responsibilities
- Support targeted protection assessments and consultations with affected populations.
- Provide temporary operational support to protection case management activities.
- Support the ongoing delivery of other protection interventions and activities.
- Support the planning, organization and documentation of protection assessments and community interventions.
- Retrieve, compile, summarize and present protection related information and data.
- Support the preparation of operational closure materials.
- Perform other related duties as required within the scope of the consultancy.
Requirements
- High School diploma with five years of relevant experience; or Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology or related field with three years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience with case management for at risk individuals in an emergency response.
- Strong interpersonal, counselling and communication skills.
- Strong skills in community outreach and building relations with key community leaders and groups.
- Sound ability to communicate practical knowledge on actions to address Protection issues at the operational level.
- Demonstrated analytical, writing and reporting skills.
- Solid computer skills (MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
- Can locate and apply key Inter Agency Protection Resources.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Working knowledge of Pashto or Dari is an advantage.

Project Context and Scope
- Under the overall supervision of Protection Coordinator and direct supervision of Protection Officer, the incumbent will implement Protection programmatic response in Camp As Saliyah.
- Work in line with internal policies, SOPs and IASC guidelines on Protection, including GBV and Child Protection.

Required Qualifications and Experience
- High School diploma with five years of relevant experience; or Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology or related field with three years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience with case management for at risk individuals in an emergency response.
- Experience in coordinating and managing needs of those at risk and/or UASCs is a distinct advantage.
- Strong interpersonal, counselling and communication skills.
- Strong skills in community outreach and building relations.
- Sound ability to communicate practical knowledge on Protection issues.
- Demonstrated analytical, writing and reporting skills.
- Solid computer skills (MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
- Can locate and apply key Inter Agency Protection Resources.
Languages
- Fluency in English is required.
- Working knowledge of Pashto or Dari is an advantage.
