Responsibilities
- Provide clinical support in the diagnosis, planning, and treatment of patients requiring prosthodontic care, including fixed, removable, and implant supported prostheses.
- Conduct patient assessments, take detailed medical and dental histories, perform clinical examinations, and assist in designing and delivering treatment plans under supervision.
- Prepare teeth and implants, take impressions, record jaw relations, adjust and fit restorations, and ensure high standards of infection control and documentation.
- Collaborate with dental technicians, general dentists, and other specialists to coordinate multidisciplinary care.
- Participate in case discussions, audits, and continuing professional development activities.
Requirements
- Recognized Bachelor’s degree in Dentistry (BDS or equivalent) and completion of, or enrollment in, a prosthodontics residency or registrar training program.
- Strong clinical skills in fixed and removable prosthodontics, including crown and bridge work, partial and complete dentures, and implant prosthodontics.
- Proficiency in diagnosis, treatment planning, and case documentation, including digital records and imaging.
- Knowledge of contemporary materials, digital dentistry workflows, and collaboration with dental laboratories.
- Commitment to evidence based practice, infection control standards, and patient safety protocols.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient centered approach and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage a clinical schedule and prioritize cases appropriately.
- Eligibility for professional licensure/registration to practice dentistry in Saudi Arabia as per local regulatory requirements.
- Previous experience in prosthodontics or implant dentistry is preferred; experience in a teaching or training environment is an advantage.
- Proficiency in English; Arabic language skills are an asset.
