Role Overview
The Propulsion Test Technician III tests Rutherford rocket engines and supports the propulsion production organization in Long Beach, California.
The Rutherford engine includes a thrust chamber, pumps, valves, plumbing, TVC actuators, motor controllers, and other mechanical components.
The role provides deliverables for internal leadership, the board of directors, and investors.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-pressure pneumatic operations using GN2 and helium.
- Set up and operate Data Acquisition systems, including FlexLogger and LabVIEW.
- Troubleshoot and repair valves, regulators, pressure relief valves, pressure transducers, and check valves.
- Work with Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams.
- Conduct hydrostatic testing and handle LN2 and cryogenic components.
- Generate Non-Conformance Reports to document and address issues.
- Implement and improve 5S practices in the work area.
