Job description
Experienced Proposal Engineer responsible for preparing commercial proposals, coordinating with cross-functional teams, obtaining vendor quotations on time, and submitting competitive bids in response to client Requests for Proposals (RFPs). Skilled in cost estimation, technical documentation, and commercial pricing strategies to secure projects successfully.
Should have the mandatory Relevance Experience related to STP and ETP
1. Tender & RFP Management
Review and analyze Request for Proposals (RFPs), RFQs, and tender documents.
Understand scope of work, specifications, commercial terms, and client requirements.
Prepare bid/no-bid analysis and identify project risks.
Attend pre-bid meetings and handle client clarifications.
2. Vendor Coordination & Quotations
Identify and shortlist vendors/subcontractors.
Send RFQs to vendors and follow up to obtain quotations on time.
Conduct technical and commercial evaluation of vendor offers.
Negotiate pricing, delivery timelines, and commercial terms.
3. Cost Estimation & Pricing (Commercial Documents)
Prepare detailed cost estimation and pricing sheets.
Conduct rate analysis and quantity take-off (QTO).
