Role Overview

veritree is hiring a Project Manager, Terrestrial, to own its North American terrestrial reforestation portfolio and selected global accounts.

The role combines partner relationship management, monitoring coordination, data quality, and development of repeatable operating procedures.

The position is based in Vancouver, British Columbia, and is described as hybrid.

Key Six-Month Outcomes

  • Own relationships with terrestrial planting partners and run recurring business reviews.
  • Keep planting data, monitoring, and annual survival checks on schedule across all accounts.
  • Finish, document, and stabilize SOPs for planting sessions, evidence requirements, and survival monitoring.

Account Management

  • Manage multiple terrestrial planting partner relationships and serve as the primary point of contact.
  • Manage selected global accounts and support the corporate partners that fund them.
  • Run partner meetings and business reviews, drive decisions, and follow through on commitments.
  • Triage field issues, coordinate internal teams, and travel to planting sites for audits and partner visits.

Data and Monitoring

  • Maintain accurate planting, monitoring, and survival data through data hygiene and quality checks.
  • Schedule and track monitoring tasks, including survival checks and first survival reports one year after planting.
  • Manage monitoring backlogs with prioritized plans and report progress against targets.

SOPs and Process

  • Create, refine, and audit SOPs covering planting sessions, evidence requirements, and survival monitoring.
  • Hold partners to consistent processes and close gaps where accounts do not follow the SOPs.
  • Write procedures that can be standardized across regions, species, and partner capacities.

Required Qualifications

  • A Registered Professional Forester or Registered Forest Technologist designation, or eligibility for registration, is required.
  • A bachelor’s degree or technical diploma in forestry, silviculture, environmental science, or a related discipline is required.
  • Hands-on North American reforestation experience and knowledge of regional tree species and practices are required.
  • Project or account management experience with multiple external partners and timeline delivery is required.
  • The role requires North American travel and occasional international travel of approximately 10% to 15%.

Preferred Qualifications

  • UAV or drone operations experience, including flight planning, image processing, and imagery analysis, is an asset.
  • Experience with Indigenous partnerships, community-led restoration, carbon, or MRV/MMRV workflows is an asset.
  • People management or mentoring experience is an asset.

Compensation

  • The stated salary range is $90,000 to $120,000 CAD.
  • Final compensation depends on experience and demonstrated skills.
