Role Overview
WSP is seeking a highly experienced Project Manager or Senior Project Manager - Infrastructure for major infrastructure and masterplan development projects across the UAE.
The role leads multidisciplinary project teams, manages client relationships, and oversees delivery against scope, schedule, budget, quality, and contractual objectives.
The position sits within the Transport & Infrastructure business and supports major regional infrastructure and land development projects.
Project Management and Delivery
- Lead planning, coordination, and delivery of large-scale infrastructure and masterplan development projects.
- Manage multidisciplinary design and delivery teams across project phases.
- Develop execution plans, schedules, resource forecasts, and delivery strategies.
- Monitor performance and implement corrective actions to maintain time, budget, and quality objectives.
Client and Stakeholder Management
- Act as a primary contact for clients and key stakeholders and maintain strong client relationships.
- Manage communications with government authorities, developers, contractors, and project partners.
- Lead project meetings, progress reviews, stakeholder engagement, and governance activities.
- Support Project Directors with executive-level client interactions and project governance.
Commercial and Technical Leadership
- Monitor budgets, forecasts, resource utilization, and commercial performance.
- Support contract administration, change management, variations, claims, and commercial reporting.
- Provide technical leadership and coordinate multidisciplinary design inputs and deliverables.
- Promote innovation, value engineering, quality assurance, and continuous improvement.
Governance, Risk and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with project processes, company procedures, governance frameworks, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify, manage, and report project risks and ensure mitigation measures are implemented.
- Maintain standards for quality, safety, and technical excellence and participate in audits and lessons learned.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- At least 12-15 years of experience in engineering consultancy, infrastructure delivery, or major development programmes.
- Experience with international engineering consultancies and large-scale infrastructure, masterplan, and land development projects in the UAE.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing clients, government entities, developers, contractors, and stakeholders.
- PMP certification, Chartered Engineer status, or equivalent professional accreditation is desirable.
