Position Overview
The Project Manager - Sales is responsible for managing and coordinating all phases of assigned customer projects from order entry through delivery and project completion.
Serving as a critical liaison between customers, sales, operations, purchasing, vendors, and transportation teams, this role ensures projects are executed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with customer requirements.
This position requires strong analytical and organizational skills, sound business judgment, and the ability to independently manage multiple projects in a fast-paced building products distribution environment.
The Project Manager plays a key role in supporting sales growth, customer satisfaction, profitability, and operational efficiency.
Manage assigned customer projects from initial order placement through final delivery and completion
Review, validate, and process purchase orders to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements
Coordinate special orders with vendors, purchasing teams, and branch personnel
Oversee order entry, ticket generation, job costing, and project tracking within company systems
Monitor project schedules, milestones, and deadlines while proactively addressing delays, discrepancies, and project challenges
