Role Overview
DAR Engineering is seeking a highly experienced Project Manager for a major high-rise building project in Makkah.
The role leads project delivery in accordance with scope, contracts, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead planning, management, and delivery from inception through completion and handover.
- Provide leadership during design and construction phases.
- Oversee design development, construction supervision, and site execution.
- Ensure compliance with contracts, specifications, drawings, and applicable standards.
- Manage contracts under FIDIC and other relevant construction requirements.
- Monitor schedules, budgets, milestones, risks, delays, and corrective actions.
- Maintain project procedures, controls, reporting, and governance.
- Coordinate the client, consultants, contractors, designers, and other stakeholders.
- Review programmes, resource requirements, progress reports, and recovery plans.
- Oversee quality, safety, testing, commissioning, handover, and close-out.
- Manage variations, claims, extensions of time, and contractual issues.
- Provide project updates and executive-level reporting to management and the client.
Education and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from a recognized university.
- Professional project management or engineering certifications are advantageous.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 20 years of relevant professional experience.
- At least 10 years in a senior leadership capacity as a Project Manager and/or Resident Engineer.
- Extensive experience in contract management, design coordination, construction supervision, project execution, and delivery.
- Experience with projects of similar scale, complexity, and technical requirements.
- Previous experience with major building or high-rise developments is essential.
Languages and Technical Competencies
- Proficiency in Arabic is essential, with a good command of English.
- Strong knowledge of FIDIC and construction contracts.
- Experience in planning, scheduling, project controls, cost monitoring, risk management, claims, variations, and quality management.
- Ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders and resolve complex project issues.
