Role Overview
Manage interior design and fit-out projects independently from the initial site visit through final handover.
The role requires strong UAE fit-out experience and understanding of both technical and commercial project requirements.
The successful candidate will be hands-on and responsible for project quality, timelines, profitability, and completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct site surveys and understand client requirements.
- Prepare quantity take-offs, BOQs, estimates, and quotations.
- Calculate material, labour, and subcontractor costs.
- Manage project budgets, margins, and cost control.
- Source, negotiate with, and manage suppliers and subcontractors.
- Handle procurement and ensure materials are delivered on time.
- Prepare project schedules and manage execution timelines.
- Coordinate civil, MEP, joinery, flooring, painting, gypsum, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other fit-out works.
- Read and understand architectural, interior, and MEP drawings.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, designers, vendors, and site teams.
- Manage variations and prepare additional work quotations.
- Monitor site quality, workmanship, and productivity.
Completion and Commercial Duties
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to the approved scope.
- Manage snagging, testing, final inspection, and handover.
- Maintain proper project documentation and progress reports.
- Support invoicing, subcontractor bill verification, and project commercial closure.
Authority and Compliance Knowledge
- Practical knowledge of Dubai Municipality, Dubai Civil Defence, Dubai Development Authority, Trakhees, and DEWA requirements where applicable.
- Knowledge of developer or building management NOCs and UAE Fire & Life Safety requirements.
- Knowledge of fit-out permits, HSE, and site safety requirements.
Required Experience
- Minimum 5 years of interior fit-out or project management experience in the UAE.
- Strong knowledge of estimation, BOQ preparation, and quotations.
- Good understanding of interior, civil, and MEP works.
- Strong vendor and subcontractor management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently.
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD, Excel, and project management tools.
- UAE or Dubai experience is strongly preferred.
- UAE driving licence is preferred.
