Project Manager (Infrastructure Design)

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Lead project planning, execution, and delivery, including scope, budgets, schedules, resources, and implementation strategies.
• Manage client relationships and serve as the primary point of contact for project requirements and deliverables.
• Monitor performance, resources, budgets, schedules, risks, changes, and recovery strategies.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors, vendors, procurement, and project staffing.
• Lead team development, mentoring, and performance management.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, security, contractual, code, regulatory, and company requirements.
• Manage documentation, reporting, change control, contract variations, and scope-change negotiations.
• Chair project meetings, report progress, and maintain accurate project records.
• Support business development, bid reviews, procurement, and tendering activities.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related technical field from a recognized university.
• At least 12 years of relevant experience in roads and infrastructure design projects.
• At least 2 years of experience as a project manager managing multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience delivering complex infrastructure design projects within budget and schedule constraints.
• Strong knowledge of project management principles, contract administration, and commercial management.
• Experience with roads, highways, bridges, utilities, drainage, public realm, and associated civil works.
• Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and client-facing skills.
• Strong team leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
• Abu Dhabi experience is required.

Desired Qualifications

• Professional project management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent is desired.
• Experience with major infrastructure projects in the UAE or GCC region is desired.
• Familiarity with local authority requirements and approval processes is desired.
• Chartered Engineer status or equivalent professional accreditation is advantageous.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary consultants and international project teams is desired.
