Project Manager for the Electrical and Automation Team - Doha, Qatar

Role Overview

Project Management Responsibilities

• Manage multiple medium-voltage system, medium-voltage solution, and power automation solution projects within time, budget, and quality targets.
• Handle OGT and NXTOOLS preparation and factory transfers.
• Plan project scope, contract structure, work packages, resources, schedules, documentation, organization, and interfaces.
• Establish project controlling and reporting workflows that provide current project-status visibility.
• Monitor technical and commercial plan fulfillment, identify deviations, and manage corrective actions.
• Monitor cash-flow planning and activate appropriate escalation procedures.

Customers, Commercials, and Risk

• Report project status to customers, management, project teams, and stakeholders.
• Identify business opportunities, customer decision-makers, and strategies to continue or strengthen customer engagement.
• Manage proposal and contract requirements and evaluate the effect of changed requirements on costs, schedules, and delivery items.
• Assess project risks, manage identified risks, and negotiate and document requirement changes and extensions of time.
• Manage customer, stakeholder, and subcontractor relationships.

Project Completion

• Manage project completion and closeout, acceptance of delivery units and services, validation and verification, and final handover to customers and involved parties.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering.
• Five to seven years of project execution experience for medium-voltage system projects.
• Expert knowledge of medium-voltage switchgear configuration in NXTOOLS and OGT is required.
• Experience with P&L responsibility, international projects, customer and public-authority interfaces, subcontractors, and factories.
• Experience in construction and commissioning, engineering, planning, and design of medium-voltage equipment and protection and automation systems.
• Experience successfully managing international teams.
• PMP or PM@Siemens certification is preferable.
