Project Manager- EPMO

The Phase 1D Redevelopment consists of two projects, namely, the Phase 1D Forensic and the Phase 1D Research.

The Phase 1D Forensic project focuses primarily on the construction of the Forensic building, the Waverley House Secure Care & Recovery Building, with inpatient, outpatient, and supporting administrative services.

The Phase 1D Research project will deliver The Temerty Discovery Centre, a state-of-the-art facility that will enhance experiences for patients and researchers, while inspiring hope for those living with mental illness.

The design and construction work has already started for both projects; construction is expected to be completed in 2027 for the Research building and 2029 for the Forensic building.

The incumbent will be responsible for hands-on leadership as well as execution of work in order to achieve goals and objectives relating to the assigned project(s).

This may involve direct and/or indirect supervision of staff delivering on project tasks (task assignment, coaching, mentoring, performance management) and budget management to ensure projects are within scope, on budget and on schedule.

This role will be assigned to the Redevelopment office, with a matrix reporting relationship with the Senior Project Manager IT, Redevelopment.

The Project Manager will be responsible for leading and providing hands-on project management and contract administration related to IT, Security, AV and Integration systems during the planning, design, construction and close-out stages of the Phase 1D Research Project and the Phase 1D Forensic Project.

Direct, hands-on project experience during the construction stage is preferred as is technical and contractual knowledge of the planning, design and construction stages of projects.

The Project Manager will play a key role on the Phase 1D projects and will be responsible to provide a significant portion of the hands-on coordination, planning, and execution of tasks required to manage the IT, Security, AV and Integration systems aspects of the projects.

The Project Manager will lead and execute project work streams independently and be accountable for the tracking of assigned project documents.

The Project Manager will lead the engagement and coordination of a variety of internal and external stakeholders as well as the facilitation of team/stakeholder meetings as required.

The successful candidate will possess excellent customer relationship skills, negotiations, team work skills, strong business acumen, demonstrated leadership skills, strategic thinking skills, project management skills, strong computer skills and excellent written and oral communication skills.

Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds and communities is essential.

The Project Manager will be responsible for working with multiple clinical, administrative, and executive stakeholders both internal and external to CAMH. The Project Manager will develop work plans, accountabilities, timelines, requirements, communication plans, change management plans, training plans, etc. for the assigned project(s) with key stakeholders and ensure these deliverables are developed and executed in a manner which supports agreed upon timelines and objectives. The Project Manager will be responsible for monitoring and reporting on all aspects of the project(s) in accordance with EPMO and Redevelopment PMO processes. This position may also include project administrative tasks.
