The role leads projects from inception to completion while managing planning, resources, quality, costs, contracts, variations, safety, and compliance.
The position coordinates with clients, consultants, contractors, vendors, authorities, and internal departments.
Experience and Compensation
- The role requires 7–12 years of experience.
- Salary is ₹35,000 or more per month and is negotiable based on experience.
Project Management Responsibilities
- Lead construction projects throughout the project lifecycle and develop execution strategies, schedules, and resource plans.
- Deliver projects within approved timelines, budgets, quality standards, safety standards, and company policies.
- Monitor progress, conduct review meetings, prepare management reports, identify risks, and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate with clients, architects, consultants, contractors, vendors, and government authorities.
- Manage budgets, cost control, billing, cash flow, financial performance, procurement, materials, and resources.
- Review and approve BOQs, estimates, work orders, project documents, and change-related documentation.
- Lead, mentor, and develop project teams.
Variations and Contract Administration
- Review, verify, and approve project deviations, extra items, substitute items, and variation orders under contractual requirements.
- Prepare and evaluate rate analysis for non-scheduled and extra items.
- Coordinate approvals for revised specifications, quantities, and scope changes.
- Assess cost and time effects of deviations, substitutions, and additional works.
- Maintain documentation for claims, variation orders, contract amendments, billing, and audits.
- Manage contract claims, dispute resolution, and correspondence related to variations and additional work.
Qualifications and Experience
- A B.Tech or B.E. bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
- The candidate must have 7–12 years of relevant construction, infrastructure, or real estate experience.
- Experience with large-scale residential, commercial, institutional, or government projects is required.
- Experience in planning, execution, billing, estimation, contract management, variation management, and claims administration is required.
- Knowledge of CPWD, PWD, DSR, EPC, item-rate, and lump-sum contracts is required.
- A master’s degree or PMP or PRINCE2 certification is an added advantage.
Technical Competencies
- Required capabilities include project planning, BOQ preparation and verification, billing, cost control, estimation, quantity surveying, contract administration, and variation management.
- Additional technical areas include claims documentation, vendor and subcontractor management, QA/QC, resource and material planning, risk mitigation, budget management, and change impact analysis.
- Software listed includes advanced MS Excel, AutoCAD, MS Project or Primavera, ERP systems, and MS Office Suite.
