Project Manager

• Manage electrical engineering projects from inception to completion, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client expectations.
• Lead project planning, proposal development, fee estimates, work plans, and resource allocation.
• Provide technical oversight and guidance to Engineers, Designers, Technologists, and Engineers-in-Training (EITs).
• Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, including architectural, mechanical, structural, interior design, and construction professionals.
• Review and oversee electrical designs, calculations, specifications, reports, and construction documents.
• Attend and lead client meetings, coordination meetings, site visits, and project reviews.
• Support business development activities and maintain strong client relationships.
• Monitor project performance, identify risks, and implement solutions to maintain project objectives.
• Oversee contract administration activities, including shop drawing reviews, change orders, requests for information (RFIs), and field reviews.
• Liaise with utilities, authorities having jurisdiction, contractors, and project stakeholders.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, mentoring, and professional development of team members.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, technical standards, and best practices within the organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline.
• Professional Engineering designation (P.Eng.) or eligibility for registration with APEGA.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in electrical consulting engineering, project management, or building systems design.
• Demonstrated experience managing electrical engineering projects through all phases of design and construction.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, life safety, communications, and security systems.
• Thorough understanding of the Canadian Electrical Code and applicable building, energy, and industry standards.
• Proven ability to manage project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, and client expectations.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and working directly with clients and stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and support the development of Engineers-in-Training (EITs), Technologists, Designers, and other technical staff.
• Strong leadership, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced consulting environment.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications; experience with Revit would be considered an asset.
