AECOM is seeking an experienced Project Manager – Building Design, Strategy & Growth for its Buildings + Places business in the Middle East.
The role applies multidisciplinary building project delivery experience to strategy, growth, commercial decision-making, and major pursuits.
The position is suited to someone progressing from individual project management toward broader client, commercial, operational, and business leadership.
Responsibilities
- Lead major building design pursuits from opportunity qualification through proposal development, commercial review, and submission.
- Review RFPs and client briefs to define scope, deliverables, programme, interfaces, and risks.
- Develop delivery strategies, project organization, resourcing plans, man-hour estimates, and programmes.
- Develop scopes, assumptions, exclusions, interfaces, fee strategies, and commercial recommendations.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary, regional office, subconsultant, and business-line inputs.
- Participate in client engagement, workshops, presentations, and commercial discussions.
- Support go/no-go decisions and identify mitigation for project, contractual, programme, and commercial risks.
- Maintain pipeline information, support forecasting and reporting, and capture lessons for future pursuits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Project Management, or a related built-environment discipline.
- Significant experience in a multidisciplinary building design consultancy.
- Consultant-side experience as a Project Manager, Design Manager, or comparable multidisciplinary professional.
- Strong understanding of Architecture, Structures, MEP, specialist disciplines, scope, programme, resources, change, risk, and commercial performance.
- Experience reviewing RFPs, developing scopes of services, and coordinating multidisciplinary requirements.
- Strong client-facing communication and presentation skills.
- Lead Design Consultant experience is strongly preferred.
- Middle East experience and knowledge of regional clients and major development programmes would be advantageous.
Workplace
- The stated Work Location Model is Hybrid.
- New hires are required to attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office.
