Role overview
Lead the safe, compliant and commercially disciplined delivery of utility-scale BESS projects from financial close through construction, commissioning and handover to Asset Management.
The role is accountable for programme, cost, quality, contractual compliance and grid integration across assigned projects.
The role operates within a centralized BESS Delivery function and contributes to governance, procurement strategy and delivery standards.
Project delivery and construction
- Lead end-to-end delivery of assigned BESS projects through construction and commissioning.
- Act as client representative under EPC and BoP contracts.
- Coordinate civil, electrical BoP, HV, BESS integrator and ICP interfaces.
- Manage Principal Contractor performance under UK CDM Regulations.
- Identify risks, implement mitigation strategies and escalate critical issues with recovery plans.
Commercial and programme control
- Administer EPC, BoP and BESS contracts in accordance with delegated authority.
- Review contractor payment applications and assess variations, compensation events and claims.
