Job Description

Design and Project Delivery

• Manage concept, schematic, detailed design, tender, and construction support stages.
• Develop project execution plans, design schedules, deliverable registers, and milestones.
• Coordinate Civil, Architectural, Structural, MEP, Landscape, Utilities, Roads, and other disciplines.
• Lead design coordination meetings, technical workshops, and design reviews.
• Manage design interfaces, identify conflicts, and drive timely resolution.
• Monitor progress, risks, delays, interface issues, and project KPIs.
• Review submissions for compliance with requirements, codes, standards, specifications, and client requirements.

Construction and Stakeholder Coordination

• Review contractor technical submissions, shop drawings, material submissions, RFIs, design changes, and technical queries.
• Resolve site-related design issues and coordinate design changes during construction.
• Support constructability reviews covering construction methodology, sequencing, accessibility, maintainability, and operations.
• Coordinate technical approvals, permits, and NOCs with authorities and stakeholders.
• Maintain client communication through progress updates, presentations, and reports.
• Manage contracts, scope changes, variations, risks, resources, budgets, forecasts, and project performance.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams and promote collaboration between design and construction teams.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 20 years of relevant experience in project management, design management, and multidisciplinary design coordination.
• Experience delivering large-scale building and infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of design processes, construction methodologies, codes, standards, and authority requirements.
• Ability to interpret contracts, specifications, drawings, design reports, and technical documentation.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, client management, and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with project or design management platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in Qatar and/or the GCC region is preferred.
• MME/MMUP/UPDA registration is preferred.
• PMP, PE, CEng, RIBA, or equivalent professional certification is preferred.
• BIM-based multidisciplinary coordination and digital design review experience would be advantageous.
• Experience with major international consultants, contractors, developers, or government clients is desirable.
