Project Lead

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Lead site readiness, civil works coordination, equipment procurement, installation, commissioning, and ramp-up to full production.
• Develop and manage the project plan, budget, and timeline while proactively managing risks.
• Manage equipment vendors, EPC contractors, and government or regulatory bodies.
• Build and lead the project team, including hiring and onboarding staff before production start-up.
• Coordinate procurement, engineering, quality, and operations to maintain the project schedule.
• Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory standards are met before handover to operations.
• Report progress and key decisions to executive leadership.

Required Qualifications

• At least 4 years of hands-on experience setting up a factory or production facility from scratch through production start-up.
• Prior experience in metal or steel manufacturing is required.
• Experience managing capital project budgets, timelines, vendors, and contractors.
• Strong understanding of industrial equipment procurement, installation, and commissioning.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills in an ambiguous, fast-moving project environment.
• Fluency in Arabic and/or English.

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP or equivalent project management certification.
• Familiarity with Saudi regulatory and licensing requirements for industrial facilities.
• Experience in metal packaging, steel processing, or related heavy manufacturing sectors.

Location

• The role is on-site in Saudi Arabia during construction and commissioning phases.
