Technical Management:
Provide technical guidance and advice to design staff, supervisors, inspectors, and contractors regarding civil construction practices.
Analyze civil engineering issues and formulate effective solutions to ensure compliance with project requirements.
Conduct structural analysis and design for buildings across various sectors, ensuring technical quality and compliance with project objectives, safety, and quality standards.
Prepare and check detailed structural calculations and review drawings in line with project quality procedures.
Develop and review detailed plans, specifications, and cost estimates for civil construction projects.
Project Documentation:
Review project documents, including tenders, specifications, bills of quantities (BOQs), material submittals, and shop drawings for compliance with design intent.
Draft and issue site/engineer’s instructions related to civil construction works as required.
Review and provide feedback on contractors’ Operation and Maintenance manuals to ensure comprehensive project documentation.
Inspection and Compliance:
Conduct site inspections to ensure adherence to approved plans, specifications, and best practices for civil construction.
Undertake periodic site visits to ensure civil/structural works are executed per design intent.
Review general specifications and site-specific particular specifications to ensure alignment with project requirements.
Undertake final project snagging and prepare a list of defects for contractor rectification.
Review contractor installation method statements and ensure compliance with project requirements.
