Role Overview
A UAE-based door manufacturing company is seeking estimators, estimation engineers, and senior estimators.
The roles support project estimates, quotations, quantity analysis, pricing, tender submissions, and commercial coordination.
Relevant industry backgrounds include door manufacturing, joinery, construction, fit-out, façade, and building materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Review drawings, specifications, BOQs, tender documents, and project information.
- Prepare estimates, quotations, quantity take-offs, pricing, tender submissions, and commercial proposals.
- Evaluate materials and supplier or subcontractor prices and coordinate with internal project teams.
- Identify document discrepancies and cost implications and maintain estimation and pricing records.
- Compare project costs with budgets and identify cost-optimization opportunities.
- Senior estimators may manage multiple tenders, review estimates, and guide junior estimators.
Core Requirements
- At least 4 years of estimation experience, preferably in a related manufacturing or construction industry.
- Project estimation and quotation preparation experience is mandatory.
- Strong MS Excel proficiency is mandatory.
- Engineering degree or diploma is preferred.
- Strong numerical, analytical, organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
- Ability to read drawings, specifications, and BOQs is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently, within a team, under pressure, and to tight deadlines.
Senior Estimator Requirements
- Senior estimators should independently handle project and tender estimations and manage multiple estimates.
- Senior estimators should understand project costing, pricing, commercial requirements, and complex drawings.
- Senior estimators may guide junior estimators and review estimates for accuracy.
