Position Summary

The Project Engineering Intern will assist Project Managers and Project Engineers in the review of design and bidding documents, contractor coordination, construction progress tracking, and project documentation.

This position provides hands-on exposure to engineering, construction management, project planning, and field operations while supporting the successful delivery of capital and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

Project Support: Assist Project Managers and Project Engineers with organizing project documentation, tracking project activities, and supporting day-to-day project administration.
Document Review: Support the review of design drawings, specifications, and bidding documents to gain familiarity with project requirements and engineering standards.
Bid Assistance: Assist in compiling bid information, reviewing contractor submissions, and organizing procurement-related documentation.
Project Coordination: Participate in project meetings, prepare meeting minutes, and help track action items and project deliverables.
Schedule Tracking: Assist in monitoring project schedules, milestones, and construction progress to support timely project completion.
Field Observation: Conduct site visits with project staff to observe construction activities, document progress, and ensure alignment with project plans.
Reporting Support: Help prepare project status reports, spreadsheets, presentations, and other project communication materials.

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Construction Management, or a related Engineering discipline .
Strong interest in project engineering, construction management, and infrastructure development.
Basic understanding of engineering principles and construction processes through coursework or prior internship experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Familiarity with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, MS Project, or other engineering/project management software is a plus.
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Eagerness to learn and develop professionally in a fast-paced engineering and construction environment.
