Position Overview
Bollinger is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineering Intern for a full-time, on-site summer internship at our Mandeville, Metairie, and Lockport facilities. This opportunity is ideal for students pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Naval Architecture who are eager to apply their academic knowledge in a professional, real-world environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Report to Project Engineers to visit new vessels under construction, in order to get an appreciation for the vessels, the skill set needed for project engineering, the construction process and assist with light duty project engineering work. This is a great opportunity to visit new vessels under construction.
- Working directly alongside Project Engineers supporting program requirements with tracking and reporting for engineering scope, schedule, and budget.
- This role will require outside of office visits to the vessels.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be required and worn occasionally in this role.
