Project Engineer - Substation

Job Purpose

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end execution of 132 kV and above substation projects, including design coordination, site execution, testing, and commissioning.
• Coordinate technical clarifications and approvals with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
• Prepare and monitor project schedules, resource plans, and budgets, and track progress against milestones.
• Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of substation equipment, including transformers, switchgear, breakers, isolators, CTs/PTs, relays, and control and protection panels.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, safety, and quality standards, including IE Rules and IEC/IS standards.
• Liaise with statutory authorities for approvals and inspections, troubleshoot execution issues, and prepare project documentation, reports, and as-built drawings.
• Manage site teams, subcontractors, and vendors to meet project timelines and quality standards.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or electrical and electronics engineering.
• 5–10 years of experience in electrical substation projects, preferably at 132 kV and above.
