In this role, you'll

Be a solutions focused Project Engineer delivering on complex infrastructure, transport, road, and utilities projects. You will be required to collaborate with multiple stakeholders including government bodies, transport operators, utility providers and project teams to deliver on infrastructure projects and have a strong understanding of engineering principles, risk management, and regulatory requirements.

Work across diverse environments and will focus on engineering challenges that contribute to large scale energy and infrastructure projects.

Comply with safety, environmental, and governance requirements, maintaining project records, and contributing to effective project outcomes.

These are 2-year fixed term positions up to 30/06/2028 and will be located from Newcastle.

The role of Project Engineer will support the Resource and Energy Zone (REZ) project and Transport for NSW commitment to Net Zero.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

A strong understanding of road corridor design, route assessments, traffic management, and transport logistics for heavy or oversized loads.

Experience coordinating engineering assessments and approvals with road authorities, councils, transport regulators, and other stakeholders.

Demonstrated experience delivering infrastructure, transport, roads, utilities, energy, or major construction projects.

Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build collaborative working relationships across diverse teams and project environments.

A four-year engineering degree from an Australian university, or an equivalent overseas qualification recognised in Australia.

A current Australian driver's licence and a willingness to travel as required and work outside standard business hours on occasion.
