Role Overview

Engineering Responsibilities

• Evaluate, select, and apply standard techniques and procedures for engineering assignments.
• Handle testing, installation, and commissioning and prepare project documentation.
• Assist with proposals and presentations, including bills of materials and engineering-hour estimates.
• Support contract change management covering scope, cost, time, and risk impacts.
• Create work plans and cost estimates and review scope, budget, schedule, and deliverable quality.
• Complete Power Management System risk and opportunity assessments and implement resulting actions.
• Report contract, quality, program, and cost issues with recommendations.
• Coordinate technical requirements with suppliers and evaluate supplier proposals.
• Use standard processes and tools, ensure safety and contractual compliance, and suggest improvements.
• Assign tasks to and coordinate work with entry-level engineers, technicians, and administrative staff.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of relevant experience in engineering and commissioning of Power Management Systems.
• Experience covering primary equipment monitoring and control, load shedding, load sharing, and synchronization.
• Hands-on experience designing substation network architecture and control philosophy for process or power plants.
• Working knowledge of utility communication protocols, OT/IT convergence, and cybersecurity.
• Hands-on experience with DCS application engineering tools, controllers, protocol gateways, and data concentrators.
• Experience with manufacturer IEDs on IEC 61850 and creation of IEC, ICD, CID, and SCD files.
• Bachelor's degree of four years or equivalent experience.
• Willingness to travel nationally and internationally up to 70% and possession of a valid international passport.
