Project Engineer (Power Station Integration)

This role offers the opportunity to work at the centre of one of the most ambitious engineering programmes in the UK.

You'll coordinate complex multidisciplinary engineering activities, influence major programme decisions and help drive delivery of a globally significant clean energy technology.

Working within a highly collaborative environment, you'll gain exposure to leading engineers, programme professionals and industry experts while contributing directly to the successful delivery of the Rolls-Royce SMR programme.

As you can see, this role requires strong engineering delivery experience combined with excellent project management, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving capabilities.

You'll also bring:

Degree qualification in Engineering, Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.

Significant experience delivering engineering projects within a regulated industry.

Experience leading engineering delivery within large infrastructure, energy, defence, aerospace or nuclear programmes.

Experience delivering complex engineering work packages through detailed design phases.

Understanding of systems engineering principles and ISO 15288.

Experience integrating multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Experience managing engineering scope, schedule, cost and quality performance.

Strong understanding of project delivery methodologies and engineering execution planning.

Experience developing engineering execution plans and integrated delivery plans.

Experience supporting project controls, change management and performance reporting.

Experience managing technical risks, issues and recovery actions within complex programmes.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across matrix organisations.

Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or working towards chartership.

APM PMQ, PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner or equivalent project management qualification.

Experience of UK nuclear industry requirements and regulatory frameworks.

Experience working within Design Authority, Systems Engineering or Configuration Management environments.

Knowledge of nuclear quality standards and engineering assurance processes.

Knowledge of agile principles and experience working within agile delivery environments.

Awareness of BIM and engineering information management requirements.

We anticipate paying a salary of between £60,000-£78,750

Bonus - Performance related target opportunity 7%

Benefits Allowance – £2,200 per annum, enabling you to create a bespoke package

Pension - 12% employer and 6% employee contributions.

Holidays - 28 days holiday (+ public holidays) and the ability to buy or sell up to 4 days.
