VPS Emsys Maritime is hiring a Project Engineer to support delivery of emission monitoring projects in the marine sector. The role involves preparing technical documentation, developing project plans, and assisting with installations on vessels.

Responsibilities
- Support the Project team in delivering projects on time and within budget
- Prepare installation drawings, schematics, and technical documentation packages
- Develop project plans, methods of work, and risk assessments (including HAZID)
- Assist in the installation of mechanical and electrical systems on ocean going vessels and offshore assets
- Work closely with internal teams and customers to ensure smooth project execution
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with offshore and marine environments
Requirements
- Degree, HND or HNC in Electrical, Electronic, Instrumentation, Marine Engineering or a related discipline
- Around 2 years’ experience in a similar role
- Experience preparing installation drawings, schematics, manuals, and work instructions
- Experience with CAD software (essential)
- Proficient in MS Office, MS Project and other relevant engineering tools
- Understanding of installation requirements within offshore or marine environments is an advantage

Opportunity Overview
- We’re looking for a Project Engineer at VPS Emsys Maritime to help drive innovative emission monitoring solutions in the maritime industry.
- As a Project Engineer at VPS Emsys Maritime (Altrincham, Greater Manchester), you will play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of complex engineering projects within the marine and offshore sector.
- Due to internal reorganisation and continued growth, we are expanding our Project team and are looking for a driven and hands on engineer to join us.
What you will do
- Support the Project team in delivering projects on time and within budget
- Prepare installation drawings, schematics, and technical documentation packages
- Develop project plans, methods of work, and risk assessments (including HAZID)
- Assist in the installation of mechanical and electrical systems on ocean going vessels and offshore assets
- Work closely with internal teams and customers to ensure smooth project execution
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with offshore and marine environments
- Contribute to continuous improvement of project processes and documentation
What you bring
- Degree, HND or HNC in Electrical, Electronic, Instrumentation, Marine Engineering or a related discipline
- Around 2 years’ experience in a similar role
- Experience preparing installation drawings, schematics, manuals, and work instructions
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Experience with CAD software (essential)
- Proficient in MS Office, MS Project and other relevant engineering tools
- Understanding of installation requirements within offshore or marine environments is an advantage
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
