Project Engineer - Laredo

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage project controls to ensure compliance with contracts, budgets, schedules, and job costing.
• Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure timely, on-budget completion.
• Support monthly forecasting, cost tracking, and preparation of client pay estimates.
• Oversee material deliveries for quality, quantity, and contract compliance.
• Negotiate and manage subcontractor and supplier agreements.
• Represent the company in project meetings and maintain strong communication with clients.
• Collaborate with field personnel to ensure efficient and aligned project execution.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in construction engineering, field support, or a related role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration (Accounting, Finance, or Management), or a related field — or equivalent relevant job experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact clearly and effectively with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and familiarity with construction-specific software platforms.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.

Work Environment & Location

• This position travel is required 85% - 90% of the time throughout Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and California
• Office Location: Tucson Headquarters
