Role Overview
GETP Holding is seeking an experienced and technically strong Project Engineer - Fire Protection Services.
The role covers fire protection engineering, project execution, installation, testing, commissioning, and site coordination.
Relevant project settings include oil and gas, EPC, industrial, commercial, and large-scale construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate fire protection engineering and installation activities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review drawings, specifications, technical documents, and project requirements.
- Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and other engineering disciplines.
- Ensure compliance with NFPA standards, QCS requirements, and project specifications.
- Prepare and review shop drawings, material submittals, technical submissions, and method statements.
- Monitor site installation progress, quality, and compliance with approved drawings.
- Conduct inspections and oversee installation, testing, and commissioning.
- Assist with planning, procurement, quantity take-offs, and resource requirements.
- Support documentation, progress reporting, and coordination meetings.
- Resolve technical issues and provide practical engineering solutions.
- Prepare and review AutoCAD drawings and coordinate design changes.
- Support estimation and tendering activities when required.
Requirements
- 5–6 years of relevant fire protection engineering or project execution experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Health and Safety, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering or technical discipline.
- QCDD-certified Firefighting Engineer qualification is mandatory.
- UPDA certification is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of NFPA standards and Qatar Construction Specifications requirements.
- Experience in oil and gas, EPC, industrial, commercial, or large-scale construction projects.
- Good working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Strong understanding of fire protection systems, installation, testing, commissioning, and project coordination.
- Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under project deadlines in a site-based environment.
- Experience in estimation is advantageous.
