Role Overview
Plan and execute engineering development efforts to meet cost, schedule, and performance commitments.
Lead cross-functional engineering teams and coordinate day-to-day task prioritization.
Manage engineering resources by defining needs and securing appropriate staffing.
Support technical leadership on product design, development, and improvement with Program Management.
Identify, assess, and manage program risks and opportunities, including cost and schedule impacts.
Monitor and manage cost, schedule, and technical scope changes, including change management processes.
Ensure GA-EMS processes for design, development, integration, test, and performance verification are tailored and implemented to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
Develop, maintain, and support execution of the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and related forecasts and metrics.
Drive engineering tasks and action items to closure and report status to Program Management and senior leadership.
Prepare and lead major program milestone reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, ORR) and ensure criteria are met.
Communicate effectively with engineering, stakeholders, and management; serve as a key technical contact.
Present engineering work products at periodic and milestone reviews to senior staff and customers.
Support proposals and white papers, including development of engineering Basis of Estimates and customer interfaces.
