Project Engineer

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day engineering and site activities for interior fit-out projects.
• Ensure work follows approved drawings, specifications, BOQ, and project requirements.
• Review architectural, interior, MEP, joinery, and other project drawings.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders, subcontractors, suppliers, design teams, and site teams.
• Coordinate MEP services with architectural and interior works to prevent clashes and delays.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, RFIs, and technical submissions.
• Resolve technical and site-related issues with design and drafting teams.
• Monitor site progress, supervise subcontractors, and track the project programme.
• Conduct site inspections and coordinate consultant and client inspections.
• Coordinate materials and monitor installation of interior fit-out elements.
• Maintain quality, safety, regulatory, QA/QC, and HSE compliance.
• Prepare reports, attend meetings, assist with costs and variations, and coordinate handover activities.

Qualifications and Experience

• A bachelor's degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, architecture, or a relevant engineering discipline is required.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience with strong interior fit-out experience is required.
• Commercial, hospitality, office, retail, airport, or high-end fit-out experience is preferred.
• UAE or GCC experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of fit-out construction methods, site execution, and architectural, interior, MEP, and joinery coordination is required.
• Applicants must be able to read construction, architectural, MEP, and shop drawings.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Office, project scheduling, reporting, and documentation is required.
• The role requires coordination, communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and deadline management skills.

Compensation

• Pay is stated as AED 6,000–AED 9,000 per month.
