Project Engineer

leading and coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Ability to develop and manage project scopes, engineering budgets, schedules, and technical requirements.

supporting equipment/machine tool installations, infrastructure upgrades, or production modernization projects.

Knowledge of ASME NQA-1 Nuclear Quality Assurance requirements and their application in nuclear facilities.

coordinating with Production, Maintenance, Construction, Startup, Project Management, and Project Controls organizations.

Ability to monitor engineering progress, schedules, and milestones and implement corrective actions when required.

Strong technical leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively coordinate internal and external technical resources.

Active or very recently active DOE “Q” Clearance or DoD “Top Secret” Clearance, desired.

working in nuclear, DOE, manufacturing, or highly regulated industrial environments preferred.

The NNSA's Y-12 National Security Complex, in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, is the nation’s only source of enriched uranium nuclear weapon components and provides enriched uranium for the U.S.

Navy as well as excels in materials science, precision manufacturing, and stores enriched uranium.

Y-12 supports efforts to reduce nuclear proliferation risk and performs work for other government agencies ( energy.gov ).
