Project Director - Infrastructure

Role Overview

Project Leadership and Delivery

• Lead project delivery from planning and design through implementation and close-out.
• Establish execution strategies, governance frameworks, delivery plans, and performance objectives.
• Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to client and quality expectations.
• Direct multidisciplinary teams across engineering, project management, commercial, planning, and specialist disciplines.

Client and Stakeholder Management

• Act as primary client interface and trusted advisor for key projects and accounts.
• Maintain relationships with government authorities, developers, infrastructure agencies, and strategic stakeholders.
• Lead executive client engagement, governance discussions, steering committees, and project review forums.
• Support long-term client relationships and future business opportunities.

Commercial and Technical Management

• Own project financial performance, budgets, resource planning, forecasting, profitability, and project controls.
• Support contract negotiations and manage change control, variations, commercial issues, and project risks.
• Provide technical oversight and approve critical project deliverables and technical outputs.
• Champion innovation, value engineering, sustainability, quality, safety, and engineering governance.

Governance and Growth

• Ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, corporate governance, quality, and project management requirements.
• Lead risk management, assurance reviews, audits, lessons learned, and continuous improvement.
• Participate in major bids, tenders, client presentations, and business development activities.
• Lead, mentor, and develop multidisciplinary teams and technical leaders.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 20+ years of experience in engineering consultancy, infrastructure delivery, or major development programs.
• Experience delivering large-scale infrastructure and masterplan projects in Saudi Arabia.
• Strong civil infrastructure engineering background and multidisciplinary project leadership experience.
• Client-facing experience with government entities, developers, infrastructure authorities, and major stakeholders.

Additional Qualifications

• Strong commercial awareness covering delivery, profitability, risk management, and contractual compliance.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
• Chartered Engineer status, PMP certification, or equivalent professional accreditation is desirable.
• Knowledge of the Saudi Arabian infrastructure market and major development programs is highly desirable.
