Project Director - Infrastructure

Role Overview

Project Leadership and Delivery

• Lead large-scale infrastructure and masterplan projects through planning, design, implementation, and close-out.
• Establish execution strategies, governance frameworks, delivery plans, and performance objectives.
• Ensure delivery on schedule, within budget, and in line with client expectations and quality standards.
• Direct multidisciplinary engineering, project management, commercial, planning, and specialist teams.

Client and Stakeholder Management

• Act as the primary client interface and trusted advisor for key projects and accounts.
• Maintain relationships with government authorities, developers, infrastructure agencies, and strategic stakeholders.
• Lead executive-level engagement, governance discussions, steering committees, and project review forums.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and support long-term client relationships and future opportunities.

Commercial and Technical Management

• Oversee budgets, resource planning, forecasting, profitability, project controls, risks, and mitigation measures.
• Support contract negotiations and manage change control, variations, and commercial issues.
• Provide technical oversight, approve critical deliverables, and lead multidisciplinary coordination.
• Champion innovation, value engineering, sustainability, quality, safety, and engineering governance.

Governance and Growth

• Ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, corporate governance, quality management, and project management requirements.
• Lead project assurance reviews, audits, risk escalation, and lessons-learned initiatives.
• Participate in bids, tenders, client presentations, business development, and strategic growth activities.
• Lead, mentor, and develop Project Managers, Design Managers, and technical leaders.

Requirements

• Extensive experience working with leading international engineering consultancies.
• A proven track record delivering large-scale infrastructure and masterplan development projects in Saudi Arabia.
• A strong technical engineering background; Civil Engineering is preferred.
• Exceptional project leadership, commercial management, stakeholder engagement, and client relationship capabilities.
• Ability to provide strategic direction and maintain technical excellence across major infrastructure programmes.
