About the Role
A leading international general contractor seeks an experienced Project Director to lead hyperscale data centre projects in the UAE. You will oversee end-to-end delivery, manage multidisciplinary teams, and ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of large scale hyperscale and mission critical data centre projects from pre construction through to handover
- Provide strategic leadership to multidisciplinary project teams, including Construction Managers, Project Managers and package leads
- Take full responsibility for project performance, programme, commercial outcomes, quality and client satisfaction
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and key stakeholders
- Oversee project planning, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover activities
- Manage project budgets, cost control, forecasting and financial reporting
- Identify and mitigate project risks while implementing effective recovery strategies where required
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, quality and environmental standards across the project
- Lead regular client meetings, executive reporting and progress reviews
- Support contract administration, change management and commercial negotiations alongside the commercial team
- Drive collaboration across CSA, MEP, commissioning and commercial functions to achieve successful project delivery
- Mentor and develop project teams while promoting a high performance culture
Requirements
- Degree qualified in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- Proven experience as a Project Director or Senior Project Manager delivering large scale mission critical or hyperscale data centre projects
- Previous experience working for a Tier 1 or leading international General Contractor
- Strong understanding of CSA, MEP and integrated project delivery
- Experience managing projects valued in excess of USD $200M
- Strong commercial, contractual and programme management capability
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience working within Design & Build contracting environments
- Ability to manage large multidisciplinary teams across all phases of construction
- Willingness to relocate to or be based in Dubai

Role Overview
- We are working with a leading international general contractor delivering some of the region's most significant data centre projects.
- Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of hyperscale and mission critical developments, they are looking to appoint an experienced Project Director to lead the successful delivery of major data centre projects across the UAE.
- This is a senior leadership position responsible for the end to end delivery of complex, high value projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Desirable Experience
- Experience delivering projects for hyperscale clients such as Microsoft, Google, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Meta or Oracle.
- International project delivery experience across the Middle East, Europe or Asia Pacific.
- Experience leading fast track mission critical construction programmes.
- Knowledge of commissioning processes and operational readiness for data centres.
