About the Role
Arkad is expanding its regional presence and developing its Abu Dhabi branch into a center of excellence for project execution and engineering services.
The Project Director is the pivotal leadership figure for this evolution.
The role reports to the Director of Project Execution and covers major EPC projects, branch operations, financial performance, and team development.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise branch organization and operational delivery as the primary operational reference for the local competence hub.
- Hold direct P&L accountability for allocated projects and ensure schedule, quality, HSE, cash flow, and financial targets are met.
- Guide and coach project teams while ensuring effective resource allocation and company-policy compliance.
- Monitor project margins, exposures, and cash flows, and define mitigation strategies for identified risks.
- Act as the primary reference for steering committees, project sponsorship, and executive-level negotiations.
- Manage relationships with clients, consortium partners, and key suppliers.
Requirements and Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
- The role requires 20–25+ years of experience in the EPC or oil and gas industry.
- Experience should cover project management, construction or site management, project controls, engineering management, and sales.
- Candidates must have general management experience and hands-on P&L responsibility for multi-million-dollar projects.
- Exceptional crisis management, negotiation, risk evaluation, and high-pressure decision-making capabilities are required.
- Full professional fluency in English is mandatory.
- Candidates residing in the UAE or GCC region are strongly preferred.
