ATCO Frontec is seeking a Project Coordinator to join our North of 60 Projects team.
This is an opportunity to work with an experienced, supportive team on some of Canada’s most unique construction and infrastructure projects.
You will support the full project lifecycle, from proposal and planning through engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout.
Our work includes critical infrastructure in remote and northern locations, such as defense infrastructure, power generation, utilities, communications systems, buildings, camps, and industrial facilities.

This is a hybrid position based in Calgary, Alberta.
Occasional travel to project locations across Northern Canada may be required.
Our projects may take you to remote communities and industrial sites throughout Nunavut, the Northwest Territories, Yukon, and other northern and remote regions.
Support Project Managers in planning and executing construction and infrastructure projects.
Coordinate activities across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout.
Assist with project schedules, budget tracking, forecasting, progress measurement, and reporting.
Coordinate procurement activities, including creating and maintaining a Bill of Material, inventory management, purchase orders, vendor communication, and delivery logistics.
Prepare and track project documentation, including RFIs, contemplated change notices, change orders, submittals, shop drawings, schedules, risk registers, action logs, meeting minutes, and project correspondence.
Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, field teams, clients, and internal stakeholders to support successful project delivery.
Review drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and construction documents to help identify gaps, conflicts, changes, and project risks.
Track construction progress and support site teams with documentation, reporting, and issue resolution.
Support contract and subcontract administration and help ensure compliance with project requirements.
Review subcontractor invoices and supporting documentation against completed work and contractual requirements.
Assist with project closeout, handover packages, deficiencies, warranties, and lessons learned.
Help ensure project work complies with applicable health, safety, environmental, quality, legal, and regulatory requirements.
Participate in client meetings, project reviews, inspections, and site visits as required.
Maintain accurate, organized, and current electronic project files.
Diploma, certificate, or degree in Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
Two or more years of experience supporting construction, infrastructure, industrial, utility, or capital projects.
coordinating multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
Familiarity with construction documentation, procurement, scheduling, cost tracking, change management, and project controls.
with Microsoft Project, Procore, Oracle, or similar systems is considered an asset.
working with federal government contracts and processes is considered an asset.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to accurate documentation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently, take initiative, and collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Adaptability, sound judgment, and a willingness to learn.
Willingness to travel occasionally to construction sites, including remote northern locations.
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain Government of Canada security clearance, including successful completion of criminal record and background screening requirements.
