Role Overview
Project Control Manager supporting roads, bridges, and infrastructure projects.
The role manages project planning, scheduling, risk analysis, progress reporting, claims support, and schedule-related stakeholder coordination.
Responsibilities
- Ensure schedules comply with RTA specifications, guidelines, and standard work breakdown structures.
- Coordinate RTA approvals, interim milestones, traffic staging, sectional handovers, permits, and utility coordination.
- Review contractor programs, planning submissions, method statements, and manpower histograms for contractual compliance.
- Develop and maintain baseline, recovery, revised, master, and look-ahead schedules using Primavera P6 or equivalent software.
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports and monitor performance against approved baselines.
- Identify delays, risks, and critical path impacts, and perform schedule risk, delay, and time impact analyses.
- Coordinate schedule, resources, deliverables, procurement, design, construction, and commercial activities.
- Prepare and evaluate Extension of Time claims with planning narratives and supporting evidence.
- Develop recovery and mitigation plans, lead planning meetings, and issue schedule action minutes.
- Maintain planning records in line with project controls and QA/QC procedures.
- Mentor junior planning engineers and site planners and liaise with clients, consultants, and authorities.
- Prepare as-built programs and final planning reports for project close-out.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Experience with Primavera P6 or equivalent planning software is required for schedule development and maintenance.
- Knowledge of RTA requirements, contractual milestones, authority approvals, and infrastructure project planning is required.
- Ability to perform schedule risk, delay, and time impact analyses and support Extension of Time claims is required.
- Ability to review contractor planning submissions and coordinate schedules with project resources and deliverables is required.
