Role Overview

Project Control Manager responsible for planning and schedule control on roads, bridges, and infrastructure projects.

The role supports project managers and resident engineers with planning inputs, corrective actions, reporting, and project close-out.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure schedules comply with RTA specifications, guidelines, and standard work breakdown structures.
  • Coordinate RTA approvals, interim milestones, traffic staging, sectional handovers, permits, and utility coordination.
  • Review contractor programs against contractual milestones, KPIs, phasing requirements, and contract specifications.
  • Develop and maintain baseline, recovery, revised, master, and look-ahead schedules using Primavera P6 or equivalent.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports and monitor progress against approved baselines.
  • Identify delays, risks, and critical path impacts, and perform schedule risk, delay, and time impact analyses.
  • Coordinate construction, procurement, design, commercial, resource, cost, cash flow, and deliverable information.
  • Prepare and evaluate Extension of Time claims with supporting planning narratives and evidence.
  • Develop recovery and mitigation plans and track procurement, long-lead items, approvals, and permits.
  • Conduct planning meetings, issue schedule-action minutes, maintain QA/QC records, and mentor junior planners.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, authorities, and project stakeholders on schedule-related matters.
  • Prepare as-built programs and final planning reports for project close-out.

Role Requirements

  • Ability to use Primavera P6 or equivalent planning software for detailed project scheduling.
  • Knowledge of RTA infrastructure-project specifications, approval procedures, milestones, and phasing requirements.
  • Ability to analyze delays, schedule risks, critical paths, and time impacts under contract requirements.
  • Ability to review contractor programs, planning submissions, method statements, and manpower histograms.
  • Ability to prepare and evaluate Extension of Time claims and supporting planning evidence.

Onboarding Requirement

  • Newly hired employees must attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location.
