- The position is temporary for up to 24 months.
- The role is based at 14000 Niagara Parkway, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario.
- The shift is days and travel required is 25%.
Role overview
Ontario Power Generation is hiring a Project & Control Engineer/Officer to support major hydroelectric projects.
The role leads project controls activities covering scheduling, cost management, forecasting, reporting, and advanced analytics.
Key accountabilities
- Lead project schedule and budget development and ongoing management using Primavera P6, MS Project, and Excel.
- Support front-end planning through scope definition, risk assessments, estimating, and planning workshops.
- Monitor project performance through cost and schedule updates, variance analysis, and forecasts.
- Maintain baselines, assess change impacts, and reflect approved changes in project plans.
- Build dashboards, data visualizations, and reports using Excel and business intelligence tools.
- Work with engineering, construction, finance, and external contractors to gather inputs, track progress, and align forecasts.
- Support data-driven decisions and continuous improvement.
