About the role
ETAP is seeking a Power Management and Automation Commissioning Engineer.
The role is based in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, and supports electrical systems software and automation solutions.
The position focuses on commissioning, testing, and validation of power management and control systems.
Key responsibilities
- Lead commissioning and configuration of PMS, EMS, PPC, and MGC systems.
- Implement and tune power plant controller functions.
- Configure and commission BESS controls, including state-of-charge management, scheduling, and hybrid dispatch optimization.
- Design, implement, and commission power automation systems for oil and gas, industrial, and utility applications.
- Program and configure PLC and RTU systems for power management applications.
- Prepare, coordinate, and execute Factory Acceptance Tests with equipment manufacturers.
- Lead Site Acceptance Tests according to approved client formats and procedures.
Essential requirements
- Configure and test Modbus RTU/TCP, IEC 61850 MMS and GOOSE, DNP3, and IEC 60870-5-101/103/104 protocols.
- Implement cybersecurity measures according to IEC 62351 and industry best practices.
