Project Analyst

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Prepare weekly project status reports covering schedule progress, milestones, achievements, and key issues.
• Maintain KPI dashboards and trackers for revenue, unbilled amounts, cash flow, earned value, and invoicing plans.
• Track spent hours and perform comparison and variance analysis.
• Monitor project costs against budget and analyze budget-versus-actual performance.
• Track committed costs, incurred costs, remaining budget, and subcontractor or supplier expenditures.
• Identify cost variances, recommend corrective actions, and support lookahead and action tracking.
• Support contingency tracking, budget revisions, and change-management inputs.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in reporting, cost analysis, or financial analysis.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and in report development and analysis.
• Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder coordination skills.

Desired Skills

• Experience with Power BI dashboards and reporting.
• Experience with earned value concepts and project and cost control reporting.
• Familiarity with ERP or cost systems and invoicing or revenue tracking processes.
• Advanced Excel capability, including dashboards, pivots, Power Query, and complex formulas.
• Experience supporting multi-project reporting and standardizing trackers or templates.
