Role overview
The Project Analyst reports to the Project Lead or designate.
The role supports Island Health’s strategic direction, with continuous quality and safety improvement inherent in the position.
Responsibilities
- Implement projects within the strategic plan.
- Perform project management duties.
- Track and manage project finances.
- Conduct workflow and business analysis.
- Coordinate small and large work teams of internal staff and external consultants.
Education and experience
- Education, training, and experience equivalent to a degree in Health Information Sciences, Commerce, Business Administration, or Computer Science.
- Five years of recent experience in project management, systems analysis, design programming, and use of a formal systems delivery methodology.
Skills and abilities
- Keep up with new technologies introduced to the workplace.
- Use effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication.
- Demonstrate presentation, interviewing, and facilitation skills.
- Apply consulting, problem-solving, systems analysis, and systems design skills.
