Role overview
The Project Analyst supports Island Health’s strategic direction and reports to the Project Lead or designate.
The position includes project implementation, fiscal management, workflow analysis, business analysis, and team coordination.
Patient and staff safety and continuous quality improvement are responsibilities shared across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Implement projects within the strategic plan.
- Perform project management duties for assigned projects.
- Track and manage project finances.
- Conduct workflow and business analysis.
- Coordinate small and large teams of internal staff and external consultants.
Qualifications
- Education, training, and experience equivalent to a degree in Health Information Sciences, Commerce, Business Administration, or Computer Science.
- Five years of recent experience in project management, systems analysis, design, programming, and formal systems delivery methodology use.
- Ability to keep up with new technologies introduced to the workplace.
- Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Excellent presentation, interviewing, facilitation, consulting, and problem-solving skills.
