Project Accountant

The project accountant will work within the Project Accounting Team and report to the Lead Project Accountant.

They will work closely with the accounting department and various internal and external departments.

The Project Accountant will be responsible for monitoring the progress of projects, investigating variances, approving expenses, and ensuring that project billings are issued to customers and payments collected.

This position will be fully at the project site located in Boise, ID.

Range: $70,000 to $90,000 DOE

Responsible for processing bi-monthly subcontractor billings and all material invoices for the project.

Responsible for processing monthly subcontract billings and all material invoices for the project.

Responsible for developing and maintaining files, forms, purchase orders, subcontract files, meeting minutes, misc. forms, etc.

Support the bi-monthly billing process for the client and quarterly accounting reports for the corporate office.

Work with the lead project accountant to obtain tax-related documentation to support the subcontract billing cycle and the owner's tax exemption requirements.

Monitor and ensure that all data requirements are satisfied in accordance with the established budgets and schedules

Manage the technical information required to deliver some of the most exciting projects in the industry.

Responsible for tracking/reporting of accounting indicators.

Responsible for copying, filing, and mailing/distribution of jobsite correspondence.

High School Diploma or GED required.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or General Business Management is preferred.

At least three (3) years of accounting and/or office management experience in the construction, engineering, or architectural field required.

with cost accounting, AP/AR functions, contract administration, invoice processing/auditing, and its relationship within the construction industry.

in a similar accounting role within the construction industry is preferred.

Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams), and have a general understanding of working within a computer network.

Advanced data management skills utilizing Microsoft Excel (i.e. pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and sub-totaling) preferred.

Proficient in Tier I accounting software or ERP software preferred.

Prior experience with Oracle JD Edwards Enterprise-One accounting systems is desired.

Familiarity with advanced job costing or relevant cost accounting experience preferred.

Ability to work well and maintain a cooperative attitude through high-pressure situations.
