Our Quality Team in Tucson, AZ, is searching for a Program Supplier Assurance Engineer. You will drive continuous product / process improvements of our supply base by identifying supplier risk & systemic performance issues and driving solutions through various tools/methodologies including: Root Cause Corrective Actions, Statistical/analytical improvement tools such as Six Sigma and Lean Methodologies. You will perform on-site Source Surveillance and Corrective Action reviews. Additionally, you will participate in design reviews, process change reviews, qualification test reviews, as well as Test Equipment verification and validation. What You Will Do
Candidates in this position must be able to participate in the resolution of technical issues with respect to product processes, systems and deliverables in engineering, supply chain and quality and at the supplier
Ensure flow down of product requirements both internally and to sub-tier suppliers through PO requirements, Quality Notes, and statements of work.
Interpreting these requirements to ensure supply base both understands and complies with these quality requirements.
Interpret quality requirements (Q-Notes) and make decisions on Q-Note application to procured production parts
Perform on-site Source Surveillance and Corrective Action reviews
Participate in design reviews, process change reviews, qualification test reviews, as well as Test Equipment verification and validation
Facilitate closed loop process controls and continuous improvement methods to improve product/process quality

Facilitate Program Reviews, Supplier Reviews, and Technical Interchange Meetings
Perform Supplier factory process walks and factory risk assessments
Perform reviews of supplier manufacturing instructions and processes to mitigate escape risk
Application of APQP processes related to supplier performance and implementation of necessary engagements to improve supplier manufacturing processes.
Represent quality during review boards covering changes to: supplier designs, process changes, qualification tests, and procedure reviews.
Review Internal TDP change requests, Supplier change requests, and Supplier Statements of Work
Contribute in the development of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure supplier quality performance
Communicate effectively to Raytheon leadership and customers through business reviews and status meetings.
Support the supplier corrective action process, review, approval and monitoring; assure containment, closed loop Root Cause Corrective Action is obtained; communicate issue and resolution to functional stakeholders
Perform on-site Source Surveillance and Corrective Action reviews, Participate in design reviews, program reviews, process change reviews, supplier reviews, qualification test reviews, as well as Test Equipment verification and validation to mitigate escape risk.
Identify and document supplier risk; develop mitigation plans to reduce, eliminate and prevent supplied product defects
Ability to travel as required by program needs. Can anticipate some travel (Up to 25%) to support supplier assessments, audits, reviews.

Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) and 8 years’ experience in quality engineering, manufacturing, or related engineering discipline.
Experience working with one or more of the following aerospace or commercial equivalent preventative tools – Statistical Process Control (SPC), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and/or Quality Function Deployment (QFD)
Previous experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
Experience with one or more of the following standards: ISO 9001, AS9100, AS9145, and/or MDA Assurance Provisions.
Previous experience interpreting schematic drawings and hardware inspection techniques.
Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
Ideal candidate brings leadership and hands-on experience working with one or more of the following aerospace or commercial equivalent preventative tools – quality tools such as FMEA, problem solving methodologies 8D investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Possess verbal / written and presentation communications and interpersonal skills; ability to effectively persuade and influence through positive communications with stakeholders, team members, suppliers, management
High energy, self-starter with ability to perform work under general direction
Six Sigma, Lean, and/or American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certification (CQE, CQM/OE, CSQE, CQA, CRE, etc.)
Experience using process improvement techniques and methodologies (e.g. Kaizen, Lean, DMAIC, and DMADV) and tools (e.g. ANOVA, SPC, Capability Analysis, DOE, MSA, and FMEA)
Proven successes in building and maintaining relationships with multiple suppliers/ customers.
Experience in DoD product and process oversight including requirements, build, integration, test, and delivery.
Experience in engineering, development, project planning, and collaborating remotely.
Project management experience, working experience with AS 9100 quality management systems, and experience in aerospace-related manufacturing environment, is a plus
Experience in failure analysis and root cause analysis
Working knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100 quality management systems, AS9145 Requirements for APQP and FAI Standard AS9102.
General knowledge of industry technical standards (such as ANSI, CMMI, ASTM, etc.)
