Position Summary
The Program Manager, Inventory Planning Strategy, is responsible for leading the assessment, design, documentation, and implementation of best-practice inventory planning capabilities across one or more functional domains.
This role manages a portfolio of process improvement, automation, reporting, and system-enhancement initiatives from initial discovery through implementation and stabilization.
The Program Manager partners closely with brand inventory leaders, subject matter experts, Technology, Business Intelligence, and change enablement partners to translate business needs into standardized processes, documented requirements, scalable solutions, and measurable implementation plans.
The role serves as a domain lead and project owner, ensuring initiatives are appropriately scoped, prioritized, governed, and delivered.
Primary Functions
- Conduct current-state assessments through workflow mapping, stakeholder interviews, data analysis, time studies, and gap assessments.
- Identify inefficiencies, inconsistencies, control gaps, and opportunities for standardization or automation.
- Facilitate cross-functional working sessions with brand inventory leaders and subject matter experts to define business requirements and future-state processes.
- Translate business needs into clear functional requirements, use cases, acceptance criteria, process controls, and implementation specifications.
- Partner with Technology, Business Intelligence, analytics, and other solution teams to evaluate solution options and support system enhancements, reporting capabilities, integrations, and automation.
- Provide the process documentation, subject-matter context, requirements, and implementation guidance needed to develop training materials, onboarding resources, playbooks, and support tools.
- Build strong partnerships across brands and functions while balancing enterprise standards with legitimate business-specific requirements.
- Support the ongoing prioritization of the Inventory Planning Strategy roadmap based on business impact, scalability, complexity, resource requirements, and strategic alignment.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ or more years of experience in inventory planning, retail planning, business process design, supply chain transformation, program management, or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of multiple inventory planning functions.
- Experience leading requirements-gathering sessions and translating business needs into solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects from discovery and design through implementation.
- Strong facilitation, written communication, stakeholder-management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to partner effectively with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.

The expected starting pay range for this position is $120,000-$135,000.
Applicable pay ranges may differ across markets.
Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
In addition to competitive pay, compensation may include a variety of other components like benefits, paid time off, merit, and bonus opportunities.
