Position Duties

• Essential Functions and Responsibilities: The scope of these responsibilities is commensurate with current Steubenville location operations and will be reviewed and updated as programs and services expand. Performs the role of lead instructor during scheduled class times, including lesson preparation, lecture delivery, student assessment and advising . Obtains, organizes, or develops training procedure manuals, guides, or course materials, such as handouts or visual materials. Identifies the educational needs of others, develops formal educational or training programs or classes, and teaches and/or instructs others. Teaches classes as needed in various manufacturing subjects. Monitors and assesses performance of self, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action. Maintains, troubleshoots, and performs routine maintenance on Amatrol training equipment and associated instructional laboratory systems used in Industrial Maintenance courses. Assists with curriculum development for new relevant in-demand areas in the manufacturing industry. Utilizes knowledge of machine tools in general to develop new training programs, including outline, text, handouts, tests, and hands-on exercises. Plans and designs hands-on shop floor training activities which contribute to the students’ comprehension of course content. Performs stand-up classroom and shop floor instruction to students following established curriculum, manuals, outline, handouts, and texts, and using visual training aids, such as the training machines, graphs, charts, videotape, and slides. Observes trainees to ensure their comprehension of the subject matter. Administers written and practical exams and writes performance reports to evaluate students' performance. Other Functions and Responsibilities: Trains new hires. Performs other duties as assigned and/or required that are within the level of responsibility for this classification at the discretion of the supervisor. Equipment Operated: Computer and all other standard office equipment. Amatrol equipment and training modules. Work Schedule: Typically , Monday through Friday. Primary Location: Steubenville Supervision Exercised: Supervision is exercised over students. Reports to: Executive Director, Excellence Training Center
